Wellness, hydrotherapy centers, saunas in Italy
Holiday in wellness centers in Italy is the way to strengthen and heal
your body, using methods and products of "complementary medicine". An
expression that indicates the treatment is not comparable to western
scientific medicine, but it is often used together with the traditional
treatments.
The disciplines of complementary medicine are part of "unconventional"
medicine. The same group includes alternative medicine and naturopathy.
Naturopathic medicine (or naturopathy) is a complementary medicine whose
theoretical foundations were formulated in the late nineteenth century
in the United States and then spread around the world. It is based on
the stimulation of the innate human body ability of spontaneous recovery
and return to the equilibrium, known as homeostasis.
There are many naturopathic practices: massages, plantar reflexology,
hydrotherapy, chromopuncture/chromotherapy, floratherapy, climatotherapy,
aromatherapy and many others.
Rois Travels invites you to experience these and other practices. ROIS
can organize your holiday in Italian wellness centers. ROIS can suggest
you the best beauty farms and the most renowned Italian wellness
centers.
To show you some examples of the Rois Travels’ wide proposals, we
present three of the most common therapeutic practice that you can
follow during the holiday in the wellness centers in Italy:
hydrotherapy, thalassotherapy and hay baths.
Hydrotherapy implies the treatments systems based on the water. The
success of this wellness therapy is due not only to water itself, but to
the results obtained by the application of many stimuli on the body, in
one of the wonderful wellness centers in Italy. Hydrotherapy is
accompanied by thermal stimuli, mechanical - thanks to a greater or
lesser pressure and/or friction generated on the skin - and chemical
stimuli, thanks to preparations added to the water.
Water has a number of chemical and physical properties (heat transfer
coefficient much greater than air, capacity to absorb heat, etc.) that
make it the most effective tool for applying thermal stimuli, because
the clammy stimulus is more intense than dry stimulus.
The word «sauna» is an old Finnish word. In Scandinavia, the vapour was
produced by throwing water on stones heated on the fire until it became
hot.
In the original Finnish sauna, the temperature can reach 80-100 °C,
causing copious skin perspiration, while the humidity does not exceed
10-20%, except when you throw water on the stones.
As for the Turkish bath (or "wet sauna") the environment should be
saturated with water vapor (humidity 100%) to form a mist at stratified
temperature (from 20/25 °C at the feet level to 40/50 °C at the head
level) which favours the perspiration depositing in the skin. The
perspiration, generally less intense than in the sauna, is more than
offset by longer permanence times (so in the end you can lose more
fluid).
During holidays in the wellness centers in Italy you will be able to
enjoy the pleasures of the sauna, in environments of luxury, surrounded
by every comfort that can make unforgettable the holiday that Rois
Travels can organize for you, leading you in the choice of structures --
both beauty farm and wellness centers - that Italy can offer you.
Hay baths in Italy
Today it is possible to practice real hay baths in Italy.
They are effective in the cure of many diseases osteoarticulares. Baths
in the hay can be a valuable support in slimming, stress-free and
detoxicating treatments.
In Italy, meadow herbs are often used to combat bones pain. Against
rheumatism, there is nothing better than to jump on a bed of herbs to
warm the body and cause copious sweating.
Hay benefits are ideally suited to improve certain imperfections, like
for example cellulite, adiposity and lymphatic stagnation that, with few
treatments, are considerably reduced. In Italy, we use hay baths in the
event of problems with impure skin or acne, to relieve muscular tension
because of the wonderful general relaxation they produce, restoring tone
and vitality to the whole organism.
Hay baths give a sense of physical wellness due to a sense of
relaxation, caused by intense heat and hydrosaline loss induced by
sweating. The skin becomes tonic for the stimulation of peripheral
circulation and smooth for the purification due to the intense sweating
and the absorption of herbs active ingredients.
